Perception 2020

Perception 2020 brings together early photographic studies focused on proximity, surface and material presence. The images were created without narrative intention and without symbolic instruction. Familiar substances shift when observed closely. Meaning emerges through perception rather than explanation.

Section transition – Magic Mushrooms

These images open the series through abstraction and closeness. Organic structures dissolve into rhythm, light and repetition. Recognition becomes secondary to visual experience.

Section transition – Smoked Fish

Order enters the frame. Suspension, alignment and weight introduce time, gravity and human intervention. The images hold a quiet tension between preservation and stillness.

Section transition – Chocolate Studies

The series closes with material at the edge of recognition. Surface, grain and light dominate the image. Chocolate becomes texture, dissolving the object into perception.
