Ingredients

50 g Wakame (From the cooking box or other type of seaweed)
1 L Water (to soak the algae)

Salatmarinade

200 ml Vinegar (Sushi vinegar or Japanese vinegar)
1 tbsp. brown sugar
100-200 ml Water
1 tbsp. Soy sauce
1 Slice Ginger
1 tsp. Wasabi
1/2 pc Chili pepper (red or yellow)
2 pc Garlic cloves

Dekoration

20-40 g Sesame Seed Furikake (from the cooking box)
100 ml Sesame oil

Preparation step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the salad in the kitchen.

Wakame seaweed in a bowl
Wakame seaweed in a bowl for soaking in water.

Place the wakame algae in a large bowl and pour cold water over it. Cover and leave to soak for a good 20 minutes. Drain the algae in a sieve, leave in size or finely chop as desired.

Prepare sesame furikake in a bowl.

Soy sauce and sushi vinegar

Mix the vinegar, soy sauce and sugar and taste with water. –> Prepare the vinegar stand.

Prepare the marinade
Salad marinade Ingredients ginger and chilli.

Chop ginger slices, peeled garlic and half the chili pepper. Grind the ginger, garlic and wasabi in a mortar. Mix with a little vinegar stand, then only add the finely chopped chili.

Place the seaweed in the vinegar stand and add of the ginger-chili garlic marinade to taste. Arrange salad and finish with sesame seeds and sesame oil. Serve quickly or as needed. Enjoy your meal!

Wakamealgae is a food containing iodine. Important to know: Excessive consumption can lead to thyroid disorders. Therefore, please enjoy in reasonable amounts, a good guideline is one serving (100 g) per day.

Quantity advice:

50 g of dry seaweed will make approximately 460 g of softened seaweed (drained weight).
